Does the MV2 need a Network Video Recorder?
No. Video is streamed directly from the camera and, with an optional MV Cloud Archive licence, safely retained in Meraki’s cloud.
Can I power the camera via PoE?
Yes – add the MA-PWR-ETH USB-C-to-Ethernet adaptor to power the unit from any 802.3af PoE port.
Is an annual licence required?
Each camera requires an MV Enterprise licence (1, 3, 5 or 7 years). Optional Cloud Archive licences add cloud retention tiers.
Does the MV2 support audio recording?
Yes. Audio can be enabled or disabled per device or per user role to meet local regulations.
