The switch accepts either Enterprise or Advanced Catalyst 9300-M licenses, available in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10-year terms. Advanced adds Adaptive Policy and enhanced telemetry.
Can I stack this model with other Catalyst 9300-M switches?
Yes. Up to eight C9300-M family switches (mix-and-match models) can be hardware-stacked using 120 G stack ports for a 480 G ring.
Does the C9300-48S-M provide PoE or UPoE?
No. The 48S-M is a fibre-only model with no PoE power delivery. For PoE+, choose the C9300-48P-M; for UPoE, the C9300-48U-M.
Are 25 G uplinks supported out-of-the-box?
25 G SFP28 modules are supported with the C9300-NM-2Y-M uplink and require firmware CS16.7 or later.
